FlexApp 1003 by a la mode

Frequently Asked Questions

Your FleXApp 1003 is more than just an online loan application.  With more and more customers flocking to the Internet for help with their real estate financing needs, you need a tool that not only takes loan applications, but helps keep your clients up to date as well. That’s what your FleXApp does – it provides 24-hour access to your business, and then helps you process and manage your loan applications. We’re happy to bring you this new technology and confident you’ll find it an easy way to enhance your mortgage business and have some fun doing it!

Do I have to have a specific website to use FleXApp 1003?
No. The beauty of FleXApp 1003 is it works with any website. You can have a template website from another company or a custom designed website, it doesn’t matter.
Is FleXApp 1003 easy to set up?
Setting up your FlexApp 1003 inside your existing website is a snap.  Just add links to your existing website to feed in the Customer Login and Loan Application feeds from your FleXApp 1003.  For instance, if your FleXApp 1003 address is baytownmortgage.flexapp1003.com, the URL’s for the feeds would be as follows:
Then, whenever customers on your existing website click either of these links, FleXApp 1003 feeds into your website and takes them into our online 1003 or into their borrower account in your online 1003 so they can check status.  The rest of the setup must be done from within FlexApp 1003 itself.
How do I log in to my FleXApp 1003?
Immediately following your FleXApp 1003 purchase, you're sent an e-mail that tells you how to log into it for the first time. You also receive the link to your FleXApp setup start page as well as the Username and Password that were created at the time you placed your order.

The central management point for your online 1003 is the Loan Apps screen. From here you can access the functions to control your loan app, manage users, find appraisers and more.
Can more than one user have access to the admin area?
Yes. Before you begin creating or modifying your FleXApp tool, take a few minutes to set up the users you want accessing it. Even if you’re the only broker in your firm, you need to ensure that you’ve got your own user account configured properly.  We’ve added the ability to have multiple user accounts – with an “administrator” account to set everything up.  Your administrator account is initially the “default” login you were given at the time you ordered your FleXApp.  If you work with several loan officers, or have staff assistants, this is the place to set those users up as well. And even if you just want to create login accounts for the realtors you work with so they can login and view the status of your client’s loan, you can create such accounts for them here as well.

To create a new user for your FleXApp:

  1. Login to your FleXApp and click the User Management icon. The User Management window appears listing all of the user accounts you’ve established in the Site Users pane on the left side of the screen. If this is the first time you’ve accessed this function, you should only see your primary admin account (the one you received when you bought your FleXApp).

  2. Click Add User to create a new user. Or, click the name of an existing user in the Site Users pane to modify that account.
You can even add a real estate agent as a user. Assign them to any loans they’re working on, just as you would an LO. They can log into the admin area to check the status, but their access is restricted to those loans you give them permission to view.
How do I delete a user if I no longer want them to have access?
To remove a user from your FleXApp:

  1. From the Loan Apps window, click the User Management icon.
  2. In the Site Users pane, click the link for the user you wish to delete.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click Delete this user.
  4. A warning appears prompting you to verify that you want to delete the account. If you’re sure, click OK.
Does FleXApp 1003 integrate with my LOS?
Your FleXApp 1003 is your company’s face to your customers. On the back end, most mortgage professionals use a Loan Origination System, such as Ellie Mae’s Encompass or Calyx’s Point. Using the LOS Integration tools, you can share information from your FleXApp 1003 with your LOS, saving you from having to retype information for every application.

To integrate your FleXApp 1003 with your LOS:

  1. First, configure your site to tell it which LOS you use.
  2. Export your loan applications
  3. Launch your LOS software and import the loan information
The export feature saves loan information in a Fannie Mae DO/DU 3.2 format. Most LOS tools can import this file format directly. In addition, if you have one of Ellie Mae’s LOS tools that uses their ePASS Network (Genesis, Contour or Encompass) the integration is even more robust.

For specific steps on how to import your loan app into your LOS, refer to their respective sections in this manual.  (Calyx Point, Genesis, Encompass, Contour, eMagic, Byte)
Do you have any monthly fees?
No. With FleXApp 1003, you pay once and you're set for the entire year.
